Sample Itinerary: Day 1. Fly to France.
Day 2. Nice. City Walk: Old Nice and its baroque churches. Visit the Monaco Casino and Prince Rainier’s Palace.
Day 3. Nice – St. Paul de Vence – Nice. Visit the Matisse Museum. Optional activities: Visit to fashion stores or trendy markets.
Day 4. Nice – Provence. Travel to Provence. Visit Pond du Gard, Nimes Amphitheater, and Les Baux de Provence.
Day 5. Paris. Travel to Paris on the TGV. City Walk: Presidential Residence, Opera House, Place de la Concorde.
Day 6. Paris. Visit the Louvre, where you will find the Venus de Milo & Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
Day 7. Paris. Guided Tour: Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides & Notre Dame Cathedral, home to Victor Hugo’s “Quasimodo.”
Day 8. Paris – Versailles. Excursion to Versailles. Visit the most fabulous of all royal retreats.
Day 9. Paris – Loire Valley. Travel to Loire Valley, “the Garden of France.” Visit Chambord, with its rich Renaissance decoration; roam the fairy-tale castles of French royalty.
Day 10. Loire Valley – Normandy. Visit Chateau de Chenonceau, built over the River Cher. Transfer to Normandy.
Day 11. Normandy. Visit Caen’s Memorial, D-Day beaches, and Bridge of Normandy.
Day 12. Normandy – Paris. Travel to Paris via Rouen, where Joan of Arc was burned during the Hundred Year’s War. Optional activities: A) Following a best seller (Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code) through Paris, Visit locations in the mega-hit. B) Visit to fashion stores or trendy markets: Among the pickings are the French basics brand A. P. C. and the mid-price labels like Naf Naf and Rodier. Day 13-15. Extension to London or Madrid or Barcelona for two days ($490). Fly home on Day 13 or continue for a two-day extension. Highlights include guided sightseeing.
